Does anyone else have a rocky mother/daughter relationship with your moms?

With all the Mother's Day hype this past month I'm sad and angry about my crappy mother/daughter relationship with my mother.. I thought she was pure evil till my therapist told me she's a narcissist !

Yes. She's a horrible abusive awful human being. I get jealous of my friends with wonderful Moms too. Every year it hurts my heart when I hear how woman are so thrilled with their best friend Moms and gush about how wonderful they are. Every year that I'm a mother to my three kids I respect her and her horrible choices less and less. Therapy has helped me not be angry. Mother's Day though always makes me sad.

My mom is a narcissist. I'm thankful my husband saw how she controlled me and showed me why love really is like.

My whole life her and her long term boyfriend told me and I quote "you're pretty but you'd be SO much pretty if you lost weight and were skinny". WHO TELLS THEIR KID THAT? Their whole life?

She's taken money from me. She worked at the bank where my account was and would take money on all the time. She took money leftover from student loans. When I sold a car she wanted the $1,000 I got for it to pay off her boob job.

She lied to my entire family and they didn't come to my wedding. Each and every "no" rsvp I got cut like a knife. My grandparents stopped talking to me.  The last time I heard from my grandmother before she passed was a voicemail telling to never talk to her again and I was materialistic.

All I ever did to deserve any of it was fall in love with the kindest and most gentleman I've ever met.

We used to when I was a teenager but now we're really close. I hated her when I was like 13/14.

She has Borderline Personality Disorder. Won't admit problems of aggression, confrontation or threats.
Won't get help. We're estranged & im a new mum with a baby in NICU 188 days. We've no other nearby family. In fact my fiancé's parents live os and can't travel. It's been rough. We're exhausted.
