Baby registry?!

Question

When would be the best time to start a registry?
Everyone keeps asking what I "want" for baby and I'm basically clueless and reply like uhhhhhhh..... nothing? Wait til the baby shower?! I guess it's because I feel so bad asking or really recommending anything for some reason, but at the same time I want to buy her stuff myself as well..  
So everyone's demanding a registry! 
Does anyone have advice with making one? As in where to make one, what to include for first baby, anything!?!?!

Definitely start one asap. Get on Amazon or target or baby's r us, they have a "jump start" kind of checklist to help you with things you would never think of/definitely need. People will not always buy off your registry, but it's nice when they do, since you have a chance to pick colors/themes you like, and to not include things you don't want.

It's also easier to return things when you have a registry.

You don't need to include things like diapers, wipes, clothes, blankets, etc on your registry because people will always buy those, but check out different brands of bottles, strollers, changing pads, mobiles, things you probably won't spend money on but need.

I actually got most of my baby gear at my shower, like bouncers, high chair, car seat, which was really nice to be able to pick out rather than getting randomly.

We had a boy, but I wanted more red, yellow, rainbow things than blue, and so the registry helped people figure that out even if they didn't get me something from the registry.

I'm 16 weeks and just started mine this past week. I started it initially as a shopping list but added stuff as I went.

I'm 24 weeks and just started my registry but my baby shower isn't until August 19 .. but will be printing the invites soon and I wanted to add it to the invite that's why I started the registry
