Why do so many people insist on immediately saying:

"If you don't mind me asking, why are you adopting??"

"You don't want to have your own kids??"

"So you can't have your own??"

I guess I'm just appalled by how often we hear these types of questions. And we usually only share that we're adopting after someone's hounded us with:

"So do you have kids? Do you want kids?? Are you trying? So..."

People. 😑
