I'm not even 9 weeks yet and I just got a crib...a neighbor was selling it for a really good price and had to take it! I know I'm still really early but I had to do it :)

My family got my big ticket items for my baby shower at 32 weeks. Only big item I got prior to that was the crib and that was around 24 weeks because I found out my significant other cheated and left me for another woman and was hurt and just wanted to run his pockets so I made him get the crib and a ridiculously expensive 4D sonogram within days of eachother.

I put most big items on my registry, so after my shower next weekend I'll get what I wasn't gifted. I'm 33 weeks. I didn't put a crib, rocking chair or dresser on my registry so I bought those all myself- probably within the past few weeks. I didn't want to prepare too early!

I was very hesitant to buy things due to multiple miscarriages before.  But some stuff went on sale, and I started buying the odd thing after the 20th week.  But even now at almost 25 weeks it makes me nervous.  But im having twins so I don't want to be caught without some of the essentials either in case they make an early arrival!
