first appointment

So I'm 5w pregnant and my midwife said she can't see me until week 8-10because that's the fist appointment. I could pay for a doctor visit before then so I know all is fine but it would cost me $700 and they probably would only be able to confirm my pregnancy. Which I know I am I've taken a test every morning since I found out a week ago lol (and the color of the line keeps growing). Should I wait till 8weeks for that first check up? When did you get your first?
