Went to the ER, no answers

For two days I was having some pretty intense chest pain when I took a deep breath. I also had two episodes of severe chest pain right in the center of my chest. It felt like a heart attack. During those episodes I couldn't breath at all because of the pain and it brought me to tears. I finally called my doctors office and they told me to go to the ER. (I don't like going to the doctor for unnecessary reasons...) So I get to the ER, tell them I'm 29 weeks pregnant and having chest pain. They rushed me back and got me on an EKG, took chest xray, and then did a chest ct scan. They found no cause for the chest pain. The doctor said even severe reflux would've shown up on one of the scans, so it's not that either. Not a blood clot. Not preeclampsia. No idea what caused it. So they sent me home with orders to see a cardiologist this week and get a heart monitor to check for arrhythmia.

I wish they would've found something to explain it. I hate feeling like maybe I overreacted. I am under a severe amount of stress in my job, even being threatened to be fired before the baby comes, so I wonder if the chronic stress could be causing physical symptoms now.... I really just don't know, but I'm scared. How can you feel like you are being stabbed in the chest and not able to breathe, and everything is just fine?

Anyone else experience anything like this?
