Will they allow me to take it back?

I received a lot of baby items from my baby shower and some of them need to go back. However, for a lot of the items people did not give me a gift receipt or any kind of recipet. I need to take back things from Babies R Us, footlocker, and carters. I want to know if I'll have any trouble trying to return these items without a receipt

I work for Carters. You won't be able to return them but you can exchange them for anything in the store. Be careful though because not all Carters clothing is necessarily from Carters. Some can be bought at places like Walmart, Target, etc.

We've returned things from baby shower to target / babiesrus and got store credit . Check the website make sure they have the exact same items in their store first or you can always sale them on Facebook resale in your area or Craigslist .

Carters you can exchange which wasn't a prob for me just got bigger sizes and babies r us will give you store credit!

Not to be rude by why do you want to take them back? They don't fit? You don't like them? Duplicate items? Did you tell the people that gave you the gifts? Sorry I'm only asking for future references for when I have my baby shower.

I think babies r us is pretty good, but I'm not sure about the other two. Maybe call ahead and ask them their return policy? They may just give you the price the item is today, instead of the price paid or may just give store credit. Good luck :)

You should call and ask about return policies.
Not sure it applies to all but the TRU/BRU I worked at takes back our items for store credit but there is like a credit limit (so you can't keep returning thousands of dollars worth of stuff) and it's attached to your drivers license so they can track how much you're returning. You also only get the lowest selling price in the last 90 days so if that outfit you're returning was on sale or is no longer sold there you'll get only a couple dollars or potentially nothing. Again I was at a high theft store so I'm not sure how it works at others
