a&e at 18 weeks ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Jessica
I was taken to a&e around 3:00am
Saturday as I had shooting pain through my back early hours of the morning so went to a&e then got put on an IV and had anti sickness meds cause I'd been throwing up then woke up around 7:30ish and felt better then they discharged me and was heading home when I had to tell james(my SO) to pull over so I could be sick where I also wet myself. So then headed back to the hospital where I ended up seeing my midwife who got me on the labour ward to check if things were ok with baby which was all fine then she took me round to a&e where I waited to be re admitted and my sister and my niece were there with my mum and james and then after an hour and a half to two hours finally got put on a bed where I was given my second IV drip in 10 hours along with paracetamol and then was transferred to see the gynocologist and he checked my legs and my back and gave me codeine which let me sleep and took the pain away whilst I sat on a waiting area and waiting for this drip to finish. James would have stayed the whole time if my dad hadn't insisted he went home to get some sleep. He was so good with everything. So been given some codeine tablets to take if the pain comes back and just take it easy really.
My dad has been doing some research and one of the things that comes up regularly is to purchase a support band to help with the strain on the muscles. I'm only 18 weeks and just wondering if this will actually help at all? Anyone have any past experience?
