Blocked fallopian tubes?

I had a procedure done and they used a blue dye to see if my fallopian tubes were blocked. The doctor had a hard time pushing the dye out, finally it came out. Will the dye used during a hysterosalpingogram will push through and open a blocked tube? Has anyone had this done and gotten pregnant?

I had an HSG and my tubes were clear, but I've heard that the dye can push through a blocked tube. Also, I got pregnant the same cycle as my test.

I have had 3 hsg's... Not fun at all. The dye did unblock my right ovary & I got pregnant that same cycle. Sadly it ended in an ectopic. Had to have the second HSG to make sure the right tube was open since I had the ectopic. They pushed a small blockage through. The third hsg Id bc I went another 2 years without getting pregnant& all was clear.

The dye can clear up some blockage in your tubes. I don't know if it's true but some women swear that after having the hsg test they got pregnant shortly after.

Sounds like he unblocked them for you. If the dye gets through then they are open now ;) good news is that you often have a higher chance of conceiving after this test ;)
