"same sex marriage"
Or as I like to call is, plain old marriage. I'll start off with this, I'm straight, in my country Australia, we don't have equality with marriage yet. So for one, me personally am not affected by it at all, but it still fucks me off.
I watched a video on Facebook, posted by the project (a news show) interviewing some old lady who used to be a tennis player who's openly against gay marriage. Reading the comments on it got me mad. Everyone said, "she can have her opinion, she's not hurting anyone" etc. But an opinion is stated as "a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge".
Now that would be fine if say it WASNT STOPPING PEOPLE FROM GETTING MARRIED. It's an equivalent of me saying "I don't like eggs, you can have eggs. But nowhere sells eggs and you can't have chickens that lay eggs".
Do people actually think that this is an opinion? Maybe it would be if they weren't openly stopping anyone.
