Telling a new job you are pregnant
Long story short, the company I've been with for the last few years got acquired and My team was laid off as a result. I'm only about 8 weeks preg. As I am beginning my job search, I reached out to my former employer (whom I was with for about 7 yrs) to a) see if they'd be a reference as I begin job searching and b) see if they had any openings and would like to have me back.
After a couple conversations with my former manager, they would like to invite me back to the position I have done for them in the past. The difference being I used to work in the office but now I would be remote as I've moved and live too far away from them now to go into the office (which is already something kind of special that they're doing to get me back as only a few people there are remote). That said, should I tell them I am pregnant? Since they know me I don't want them to feel bamboozled in any way, but also don't want them to think this will affect my ability or interest in returning to work for them. What would you do?
