did anyone else feel like their doctor tried to push them to have an abortion?

At my very first prenatal visit, my doctor wasn't available sooner so I scheduled it with someone else. A newer young doctor, who I really felt was trying to lean me to have an abortion because I'm 21, will be 22 next month. I left that day so angry and wanting to cry. Anyone else experience something like this?

I was 21 one when I got pregnent 22 when I had him. At 24 weeks I was told had clubfoot and POSSIBLE down syndrom. I went to see a specialist he asked how old I was and when I said 21 he was like "oh young don't you think?" and was told that I should terminate because he didn't think we could handle a baby with downs. I said no and walked out my son will be 4 in Oct and there is nothing wrong with him; no downs or clubfoot. I changed specialists

I was 21 when I got pregnant the first time and had my daughter 2 1/2 weeks after I turned 22. I don't care what age you are or even what your situation, your doctor is there for yours and baby's health, safety and medical care. For him to suggest you kill your child is not only over the top but very unprofessional. Makes you wonder if there's ever an emergency, (God forbid), will he do everything he can for you guys? Or are you 'expendable'??? Sorry, that makes me livid. I would change doctors and file a formal complaint. Seriously.

No! My doctor did not mention anything like that he said congratulations from the get go and I am 20! If you were a young teenager I can see how they may ask if you'd like to keep your baby, not as trying to make you get an abortion, but to let you know if you're not ready there is options. but as a grown woman they should wait until you bring other options up yourself. I am definitely never going back to her. She kept asking me why I won't have an abortion and I told her for one I wouldn't want to go through that, two, i would feel like I'm betraying god. If god is giving me a baby now and I get rid of it, maybe later on when I would want another I wouldn't be able to get pregnant and she just laughed and said you're only 21, you have plenty of baby making years ahead. On top of that, at the end of the exam, she asked me if this was my first time at the clinic, when I've been going there since I was 10!!

I got pregnant at 19 with my son and never had that happen but with this pregnancy (I'm 23) I had mentioned a concern about spotting and the nurse implied that it shouldn't matter much if I did miscarry since I'm young and was only 7 weeks along at the time. She then started asking if anything else was wrong and I said "no, I've just been cramping but I have been for weeks so I'm not worried about that". She rolled her eyes and walked out. I switched and love my new doctor and all of the staff at his office!

I got pregnant with my daughter at 21, had her when i was 22. Your age is absolutely none of his business, (unless youre like, 13). Id either change doctors or make it clear you are there for the care youre entitled do and will not be discriminated against

I was 20 when I got pregnant with my daughter then had her at 21 and none of my OBs have ever tried pushing abortion on me. They tried pushing other things on me with my first 2 pregnancy. I was 22 when I got pregnant with my second. 
I would switch doctors and never go back. 
You mentioned you go to a clinic?!? I would find an actual OBs office instead of finding a new clinic. In my eyes clinics are horrible. They told me my daughter didn't have a ear infection anymore and she was all good but something just wasn't right so i took her to ER and sure enough she had two very bad infections in both ears, after that I found her a real doctor. If you don't have the insurance for a real OB then you should apply for medi-cal or medi-caid. I am so sorry you went through this, this doctor probably puts her own views and beliefs before actually being a good doctor which isn't right.
