thoughts on a baby shower at 18 weeks pregnant?

I still haven't announced my pregnancy to anyone I'm waiting till the Middle of August..Would 18 weeks pregnant be way to early for a baby shower ? I'm going to be moving out of state away from my family+friends September 1st so I was thinking doing something small with them here & there's a chance we might not know the baby's gender yet so the items I put on the baby registry can be mutual..or would it be better just not having at all ?  I also seen people do gender reveals instead of baby showers but would you be able to do a registry for that I mean little things for the baby would help..idk what do you think?

If you're moving, I'd def have one! If you want to know the gender before you can pay a private ultrasound place.. But they don't have to know the gender to buy cute stuff! Plenty of people have neutral showers!

I would. Why miss out? And maybe just do gift cards so you can buy what you need when you're there instead of moving with a ton of baby stuff and you can buy for the gender once you know. :)

I'll be 33 weeks when I have mine but we did ask for gift cards or gender neutral items since the gender is a surprise... I didn't bother with a registry

My husband and I live in WA and we're going to Florida to visit family around 16-17 weeks and we're going to have a shower there just so we can have one with our friends and family. We haven't made a registry yet and didn't want to have to fly back with tons of gifts so we asked for monetary gifts or gift cards from guests. We still don't know the gender so haven't made a registry or anything either.
