What did you think sex was when you were a kid?

When I was like 8, I found out that sex was when "a guy and a girl touch their privates together." I remember picturing just literally a penis vaguely touching a vulva, like while the people were standing upright facing each other lol. No movement at all either, just 😐 welp here we are. Hahaha. 
Any funny stories about what you used to think sex was like?

I knew the basics because i asked my big sister and she told me the truth. I didnt really understand it though because i imagined that when the penis got hard it stuck straight out like perfectly perpendicular. So when i saw people on tv parallel, it confused me. Then in 5th grade i learned about erections in sex ed and was like OHHHHH.

I had no clue what sex was until I was in grade 8. I'd had the whole puberty talks in school- I knew about erections, wet dreams, masturbation, sexual feelings, etc. I knew that babies came from sex and that the penis and vagina were involved but didn't quite put it all together. I have no idea how I managed to stay so naive about it either since I had classmates who were sexually active at that age and one girl in my grade 7 class was pregnant. Then in grade 8 biology we learnt about the genital tract and it all came together. I remember sitting in class and going 'oh so that's how it works. Well that makes total sense!'

Well at 5 I thought to have sex the man would put his finger (penis) to the girl's stomach and she will get pregnant. Then around age 8 we had the birds-and-bees conversation and I thought it was birds and bees playing together and that they will deliver the babies to the people so they can get a baby. Then my sister got pregnant at 16 I was 10 at the time and reality hit and I understood finally how you get pregnant and how painful it is to deliver the baby

I used to think when I was like 9 that sex was when a guy and a girl would lay on top of each other and everything kinda just hung there . I never knew women had two holes ( the pee hole and vagina) I thought I peed out of my vagina hole and everything . I thought my labia was my clit until like a year ago lol oops :/ I'm happy I learned to educate myself .
