Clomid without the trigger shot?

Has anyone taking clomid and successfully ovulated without the trigger shot? My doctor doesn't want me to take the trigger because I have to many follicles that are mature.

I took Clomid 50mg days 5-9 last month with no monitoring and no trigger shot. I ovulated on cd 15-16 and got my BFP the first round! Definitely. It necessary for it to work. Your doctor knows what he's doing! Good luck!
