When to start buying baby items

I just turned 6 months Saturday and this is my first baby so I was wondering if this is a good time to start buying and what things should I start buying?

Momma I don't know how you've held out this long I've been buying stuff for our little guy throughout my pregnancy. I'm trying to wait now until after we have our baby shower to see what else we will need before I continue buying. I've just been buying little things so far clothes, blankets, I have his bassinet, some bath stuff....

I'm 22 weeks. I've bought my baby girl two outfits and that was only so I could get the free baby box from Amazon (which I didn't get anyways 😒). So you're not the only late shopper.

I'm 17w3d and have been buying some small things (clothes, couple boxes of diapers and wipes, etc.) over the past couple weeks. We just bought our crib this past weekend as the one we liked went on sale so we scooped it up. I'm watching for a sale on our travel system we want and the rocker we want.

Start with diapers. If you have a carter's ht up their sales. I do a layaway at Marshall and TJ maxx once a month.
