please read and help! so confused

Help please! My husband and I have been married almost a year, we have a fantastic sex life, rarely going more than a day without sex unless it's my period. We both had the flu two weeks ago and then I got my period so we had a two week break from sex... now he can't get in! It hurts when it has never hurt before!! Can anyone help me understand what may have made this happen?? Thanks in advance!!
