SO's grandmother is a very devoted Catholic.

I however, very much am not Catholic, I don't want to raise my child to be Catholic, but not because I don't believe in god. But because I feel she shouldn't be forced into something she doesn't understand at only 2 I want her to make her own religious decision when she's older.

My mom understands this and even though she believes in church doesn't push it on my daughter.

But SO's grandma pushes her religion on both me and my daughter. She has. Not respected my request that she keep us out of it. I've never talked down about her religion or how she worships I just ask that she not push it on my daughter.

Every chance she gets she is dragging me and SO through the dirt over "our sins of the flesh" and goes on and on about how we need to "repent" to the point of she will start full on fights over it.

She plays her prayers around my child constantly, and I wouldn't have a problem with it. Except one it sounds like cult chants and makes me very uncomfortable, and she tries to teach them too my daughter when I've asked her not to???

I get so upset about these things but my SO says to just ignore her because it's not a big deal, but it is too me. This is my child she is easily influenced, I'm trying to raise her and his grandma undermines me with everything I do for my child???

Am I in the wrong for being upset about this? I don't push my belief on her, heck I even try to talk about her religion when she talks because I respect that is her choice. But she never respects my choice, and instead acts like I'm the worst thing ever for not being Catholic.
