Buying baby furniture while pregnant, when?

How far along do you think is the best time to purchase the big things like a baby crib? I am going to be 20 weeks tomorrow.

I'm 20 weeks with my second bought all the furniture around 6 weeks. I didn't have to buy a crib because we changed our son over to a big boy bed then found out we were pregnant about 2 months later. Only "big" furniture I have left to buy is a swing but I'm waiting to find out the gender tmrw! It's easier to get things spread out so your not throwing out a large amount of money all at once!

Currently 17w5d and we just bought our crib this past weekend. The one we loved went on sale so we scooped it up.  Were watching for sales on all our big items and will buy them when they go on sale as our pregnancy progresses. We'd rather try and spread out the big purchases

We bought our crib when I was 20w, had it delivered and set up around 25w.
