Take it slow... Each time try going a bit deeper and each time try to hold it deeper longer. Don't go fast while you're starting out, it can increase the gag reflex.

Relax and pick a position that you can control the pace. A position that gives you an easier angle to open your throat. Breathe in as you pull back and breathe out your nose as you take him in.

If your throat is sensitive... Try drinking some peppermint tea or a teaspoon of honey, this can soothe and relax the muscles.

Relax and enjoy! You have to enjoy what you are doing otherwise you will start overthinking and get overwhelmed in my experience.
