Do you drink coffee while TTC?

Question

I always read conflicting reports that caffeine does or doesn't harm a fetus...but what if you're TTC? Does it affect your chances of conception? How about when you've found out you're pregnant?

If you don't have fertility issues and stay under the 200mg recommended daily caffeine intake then you and baby will be fine.

If you do have fertility issues then consider that caffeine is a vasio constrictor and can therefore negatively affect implantation and healthy uterine attachment. It can also negatively affect glandular breast growth and breastfeeding. All of these effects seem to be very mild, but if you have issues in these areas it may be worth considering cutting out caffeine.

I cut out all caffeine and drink decaf (I like the taste) but it's all personal.

I cut out soda and drank one cup a day, doc said I was fine. Not that I am recommending it....But my Grandma only drank coffee, she hated/refused to drink water.  She had six healthy kids.  So while I agree cutting back is a great idea, as long as you are healthy you will probably be fine no matter what you drink.

That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard I drinker coffee almost everyday w my daughter and she was perfectly fine u can drink coffee lol my mom had six girls and if she didn't have coffee it was a war lol

I drank about 3 cups a day until I got a positive pregnancy test. I stopped it all together and had the worst headaches as a result. They went away after about 2 weeks. I have a cup of black tea from time to time but haven't had coffee. I know I can have 200 mg but the taste and smell of it still makes me queasy at 19 weeks!
