So me, hubby, and our 11 month old son are renting to own a house owned by my father in law. He is the world's worst about just showing up whenever he pleases. He means well, wants to see the baby most days. But GEEZ I need privacy. My hub works nights so is always asleep when he is just showing up so I have to deal with it. I always try to be nice and just let him see him for a while but today extra irritated me. Let me add real quick that he and his wife life in the next town over 45 minutes away. So they have plenty of time to call before they show up. Shoot me a text whatever. So today I'm in the shower and I hear a knock on the door. I get out in a towel and go to see that it's of course father and mother in law. Baby just went down for a nap and I have tons to do (which can usually only be done while he's asleep, duh lol) they ask to come in anyways and WAKE HIM UP. We aren't close at all so it's awkward. They never liked me until I had my son and now they're up our ass. Someone plz tell me how to politely address this to them. Today I nicely said he would be asleep for a couple hours and I had stuff to do so they left. My hubby doesn't see the problem bc they arent ever invading his privacy bc he is asleep lol I mostly needed to vent. Does anyone else have this problem?! I know we are renting to own his house but they just barge in i never even feel like it's my house. I'll walk through the house and they will just be chilling in the living room!!
