When are you weaning from bottle to sippy cup ?

BF here and LO stopped taking a bottle around 5 weeks. He'll take breastmilk from the munchkin 360, though, if he's hungry. Didn't really care for a sippy with a spout (which makes sense since he never really liked bottles).

I stopped having to use a bottle with my daughter once she got into the daycare at my work and I could just go down and breastfeed her. Now she refuses the bottle so we've taught her to use a straw cup for when I won't be able to feed her. I skipped the sippy cup because I didn't want to have to wean her off of that if we're eventually going to have to go to the straw cup in the end.

Daycare actually did it this past week. I texted his teacher once I realized none of his bottles were sent home and they said he has been drinking his formula out of his cup now. I am glad bc my friends daughter still drinks her milk out of a bottle at 1 year and 8 months old! I wanted him off the bottle by 1 year max!

I EP and plan to until a year old. I also taught my son to drink from a straw at about 6.5 months.  No sippy cups for us!

We started at 5months  but it's still a learning curve and he is getting better each day.  I still give both at 7 months  until I think he is comfortable with it then I will stop the bottle completely.
