Is it normal to not see a heart beat at 6 weeks? When did you see the heartbeat ?

Are you 6 weeks or 10?? My 1st appointment the Dr said I was 6 weeks and she couldn't detect a heartbeat. She wasnt very reasurring on rather its normal or not or rather i could just be too early. Talking about a mental roller coaster ughh!! She had me test my HCG levels 2 days apart to make sure they were rising properly. The next week my husband and I went back and the Ultrasound Tech measured the baby at just 6 weeks and 2 days and we clearly saw a strong heartbeat!!! Long story short the Dr was a bit ahead of herself and I was simply to early at the 1st appointment.

I went in for my first scan at 7 weeks so I dunno if they would've found the heartbeat before.
