So I just got a phone call from the hospital that the genetic test that I took 2 weeks ago came back positive for Spina Bifida!

The nurse said "This is NOT A DIAGNOSIS, so it's not time to take a conclusion"!

I am devastated :((((( I am terrified, scared, I can't stop thinking about it and since then I have been reading about it A LOT!

TOMORROW morning I am having my anatomy scan and we will find out!

I also read that this test is notorious for giving false positives! I still don't get it!

Has anyone went through this? Has anyone had a blood test result like this and the anatomy scan said something else different? I am desperate and now all I need is some comfort and to hear some stories/opinions😢😢😢!

UPDATE: I also read that it could be seen with an ultrasound before 18 weeks!

I am 19 weeks now but the doctor has changed my due date!!!! ALSO I READ THAT THE due date changed can give a false positive!
