Schizophrenia or Psychosis?
I'm 13, and I was wondering if I have schizophrenia or psychosis. Before I explain why, just be clear to know that I haven't read/watched/or listened to any horror stories or movies in two years. This is my experience from yesterday, written word for word. "All day everything flashes and flickers like reality actually isn't real. I'm sitting on the couch and the room just flashed in front of me in black and white. It flashed again and there was a creepy woman on the ceiling crawling in front of the fan. Everytime I look away its like the fan twitches in my vision. It's getting worse. What happens if I see this all the time? Do I have schizophrenia? I keep seeing black in the corners of my vision and flashes and sparkles of red. There was a shadow leaning over my shoulder just 10 minutes ago." I keep having nightmares about demons, and babies getting killed in front of me. I suffer fron severe chronic depression (to the point where I failed suicide), addiction from cutting, and severe anxiety (depression and anxiety both run in my family.) I get sleep paralysis maybe.. once a month. My parents know about these problems and I've asked to be taken to a psychiatrist but they refuse, saying I'm doing it for attention. Sometimes I wake in the middle of the night and see a huge spider shadow thing crawl on the walls. I see things and hear things no one else hears. I sit there and rock myself and cry and my parents do nothing. They know I cut and know I've tried to commit suicide. :/ Even saying such things like, "You should've died with your father.","Your a liar, a cheat, and a thief.", "Nobody wants you here!", "If it weren't for you, there wouldn't be any problems." On special days like my birthday, and embarassing me to the point to where I cry on Christmas and don't stop even when I leave the room. I have cuts covering my entire arm from the wrist to the shoulder, all the way wrapped around. I get withdrawals when I try to stop such as migraines, dizziness, nausea, numbness and loss of strength in my right arm, fatigue, twitching and get a suffocating feeling..
