FTM NATURAL BIRTH STORY 😍
To start off I loved reading birth stories while I was pregnant! It taught me that you should go in expecting that anything can happen and that's okay! Now for my story!
I was 22 (23 now) and awaiting the birth of my baby boy, my due date was September 24th 2016 he was born September 30th 2016. On Sept. 29th I spent my day hiking the mountains of Alaska as I did for most of my pregnancy (especially in my last few weeks) overdue and uncomfortable I told my Fiancé that I needed him out! We stayed with my mom who was closer to the hospital and I was scheduled to be induced two days later. Around 7pm I told my mom I was extremely uncomfortable and I knew that my babe would be here soon.. 3am rolls around and I decided to wake everyone up! "He's coming!" I was miserable this had to be it!! I arrive at the hospital a short time later to find I was only 3cm dilated we spent 3 hours in L&D when they told me you aren't progressing I think you should go home. I cried hysterically and the nurse said don't worry honey we will see you tonight. I spent the rest of the day back and forth from the couch to the bathroom.. With the worst feeling like I just needed to poop..I couldn't breathe and everyone kept trying to get me to eat! I wanted nothing to do with food! Around 7pm I went to the bathroom after wiping I look at the tissue and it had blood on it I told my Fiancé I wanted to shower and he advised that we go in to L&D (an hour away) I insisted on the shower so he helped me in. We leave for the hospital around 815 making it there around 920 I get checked in and asked the nurse if I could use the bathroom because I really had to poop! She said no way let's check you I said no lady I need to use the bathroom! She finally checks me and I'm 9cm dilated and i hear the nurse say "get her to a room now!" They start to wheel me to a room and BAM my water broke! It was green.. I said this isn't right! (Baby had pooped in utero) my Fiancé called my mom who was still 30 minutes out and said he'll be here any minute. I start pushing and the midwife tells me to hold on (as if I had a choice, you kidding me lady?) I keep pushing and look at my Fiancé in an angry voice and said "am I seriously doing this without a fu*king epidural?! I pushed and pushed and pushed and the mid wife keeps saying just one more push hun just one more. Of course I responded "if you say just one more, one more time I will strangle you" (I apologized later) I gave it one more big push and i saw the tears in my Fiancés eyes next thing I knew my 8lb 15oz baby boy was on my lap 14 hours of "active" labor and 11 minutes of pushing. It was not as painful as I had read it was very uncomfortable yes but not painful. Now the worst part of my whole experience was the first pee after birth. No birth story prepared me for that one! No tears no drugs! My baby is now 8 months old!
