Are you with someone lazy & unmotivated in life?

Question

I'm not a perfectionist, I don't make my career my whole world, but I've always had the outlook of setting goals, challenging myself and personal and professional growth. Being a solution-seeker.
 
I've found life's best when your SO is on the same page that way.
But I know lots of couples don't match up in this regard.
 
I'm curious to hear from others on the topic.

I dated someone who was unmotivated for 2.5 years. He talked the good talk, but couldn't hold down a job for more than 3 months. He lived with his parents who spoiled him and never held him accountable. During our relationship I got my degree and moved to another town for my first job. He broke up with me because he couldn't deal with my anger (I was always pissed because he quit every job he got for dumb reasons and had zero motivation to do any better). 
Fast forward 8 years: I'm with an amazing man who has a great job and further aspirations for the future. I'm so much happier now.

I mean we all can be a little lazy or unmotivated at times but nothing exstrem
