I was born at 23/24 weeks and that was 31 years ago. Babies that small can survive.

It also depends on your hospital, I believe my hospital will not attempt to save unless the baby is 25 weeks which is when they consider the baby viable. But i think it is possible for a younger baby to survive but there will be a lot of medical interventions.

I lost my daughter at 20 weeks she lived for 2 hours and passed. The hospital said they would not intervene. They only help babies 24 weeks or grater. Any thing under isn't considerd viable. That was my hospital

I had a baby at 22 weeks we were given a 20% survival rate, she lived for 9 days but was a wonderful fighter in right Up to her passing. Immediate intestine care is a must x

Unlikely, but not impossible. A fetus can scientifically with medical equipment survive outside the womb after 20 weeks, but with this usually comes a lot of complications

I am shocked that so many of these women say their hospitals wouldn't intervene to save baby at 22-23 weeks. It makes me extremely happy that I have my wonderful doctors. I am 28 weeks and my baby boy has a chromosomal syndrome that gives him a very small chance at survival. I can't imagine a doctor telling me they wouldn't try to save him. I think it's important to know that you can look at different hospitals if yours isn't meeting your needs. I hope that baby stays put and develops a bit more before entering this world!! ❤️

Well the youngest preemie to survive was 21 weeks 6 days, so pretty much 22 weeks. It's very unlikely but not impossible.
