Hey ladies, has anyone had trouble getting a confirmed diagnosis of Cholestasis? I'm 26 weeks and have struggled for the last month with upper right quadrant pain which was first investigated for gallstones, negative, then the crazy itching of hands and feet started 2wks ago, my liver function tests have shown a marked increase in ALT and slight rise in AST however my bile salts came back normal so my Dr said its not Cholestasis, don't worry and Midwife doesn't seem overly concerned either, I have an appointment to see the Ob a week from tomoro - I'm concerned as I feel terrible, so exhausted and weepy, really itchy hands/feet, liver pain on/off, lowered appetite and mild nausea, and from what I've read it can take a while for bile salts to go up??
