infected piercing site?

I've had my belly button pierced since I was  16, I haven't worn an actual piercing since I got pregnant wth my first back in 2013
Today it was bothering me a little bit & I noticed some redness & a bit of swelling around it.. I was getting ready to shower and decided to squeeze it to see if any pus would come out & there was pus coming out of it.. I'm debating whether to just put an antibiotic cream on it or to call my OB & see what they want me to do? 
I'm 31 weeks pregnant btw

Soak a warm compress over it and clean it with antibacterial soap twice daily. Belly buttons are extremely dirty areas and thus those piercings have a high rate of rejection and infection. If it's safe for you to use antibacterial cream while pregnant then go ahead and put that on it and let it breathe. It should heal hopefully quickly if you keep it clean and give it some attention and love.

I had this happen about a month ago. I think it's because of my belly stretching so much. I squeezed, which was gross, then washed it with soap. I put Neosporin on it for a few days and it was back to healthy.
I haven't worn mine pierced for probably 10 years. It was weird!
