shocked
I went back to work 3 weeks ago. My daughter started daycare 3 weeks age at 8 months. The daycare we picked is ran by my husband's best friends mother, whom he has known for years. Since she started daycare every single night she has been sick vomiting, we went through all the steps of seeing if it was something she was eating (solids) or drinking (formula), after 3 weeks of this and 4 doctor appointments,2 trips to the er, no answers. Today when I picked her up I found the cause of her sickness. My husband made her a bottle at 6am,which she wasn't in the mood to drink at the time so he brought it to daycare at6:30 when he dropped her off, which she still wasn't in the mood to drink. The daycare lady who has been doing daycare for 26 years told me that at 1pm she finally drank the bottle my husband had made at 6am!!! I was shocked 1. Cause that means my daughter went from 4am till 1pm with out anything to eat or drink(since we were trying to see if it was something she was eating we told her not to feed her solids till we figured it out) 2. She gave my daughter a bottle of formula that had been sitting on the counter at room temperature since 6am. It says right on the tub of formula that it is only good for 2 hours max at room temperature. At this point I can only assume that my daughter has been being feed spoiled formula for the last 3 weeks which is causing her to vomit every night and that she is also not being feed while she's at daycare which is why when we get home she has been binge eating and her sleep has been shit. After today's events I called our daycare after a long conversation with my husband and told her that we will no longer be dropping her off and she will no longer be attending her daycare after today cause we feel that she doesn't have enough time and has to many kids to be able to care for our daughter. Personally, I am pissed and very hurt, that someone we know and trusted would do this or think that it is alright for her to go that long with out having anything to eat, let alone give our child who has stomach problems to begin with (which she was informed about two weeks before starting daycare and once again her first day of daycare) and is on special formula, spoiled formula. Some of you might feel I'm over reacting but I'm a first time mom and I know my daughter better than anyone I feel I have put her in a unsafe environment which I regret very much cause I really believed she would be taken care of with this person but for me it goes to show me once again it doesn't matter how long you think you know someone they could still become toxic. This week I'll be calling every daycare in this area and hopefully find one that will fit our needs and my daughters needs.
