Ok so I'm like so pissed rn . So I applied for a job in a Periodontist office as the Head of the front desk and in charge of insurance claims and I was hired 👍🏽👍🏽. I really like it here great hours and great pay. It's a very small office with only 3 employees including myself everybody is very nice and friendly. So apparently I'm  a replacement from a lady that worked here for 20 years or so, she basically found a much better job with higher pay. Many patients when they come in the office and see me now in the front desk are shocked to the fact that this other lady which we'll call "Pam" no longer works here and proceed with the "Oh my god but she was here for over 20 years or so, what happened ?" But they all seem very understanding and welcome me to the office. But today this patient came in and saw me and automatically said "where's Pam?" I told him that she no longer works here and I'm new. He was very mad and upset and said "well what the hell did you guys do to her so she can quit?" I said "sir I don't know I never met her I wouldn't be able to tell you". So he was called over to the room to finally see the Doctor. When he came out I gave him a sheet that patients with insurance need to sign so I can send it as a claim, he signed it and said "Well you put the date on it because I'm not, Pam always put the date on my sheets" I said "ok" and the he had the audacity to say to me "well I hope you get things done how they should be because you're no Pam" I was shook !!!!!!! I just couldn't believe what he said !! I got so hot and mad !!! I didn't know how to react to his comment but I just couldn't stay shut. I said "Sir I would really appreciate it if you stop comparing me to Pam, you don't know me and my capabilities" he just stood shut.  I was so pissed why are people so mean ? How do you even react to rude people when you're at work ? I thought I was gonna lose my job
