If it is bleeding a bit still, mostly let it be so it can heal.  You can clean around the belly button, but nothing too rough or aggressive in the belly button until bleeding stops.

Also if it is still bleeding a bit, keep an eye out for infection - unusual drainage, warmer around the belly button.

Two of our three kids lost theirs early and had a little bit of bleeding.  Their clothes seemed to agitate it a bit.  The bleeding stopped between week 3 and 4.
