Normal for it to sting?

So I'm almost 34 weeks with my #2 baby/daughter, and my belly button is stinging/hurting and looks like it's turning from an innie to an outie!! Is this normal for is to hurt/sting/feel uncomfy? It never happened with my first at all and I do have scars there from a belly peircing and also from surgery I had via belly button.

I didn't have stinging when I had my 1st child but during my 2nd pregnancy I had my appendix taken out. One of the incisions was right above my belly button. After it healed, it would burn/sting a little as my stomach grew. Now on my 3rd pregnancy, I think I was gaining weight too quickly in the beginning and I felt the burning/stinging pain again. Now that MS has fully kicked in and I've lost a couple of pounds, the pain has gone away.

Not really sure but my doctor did mention to me that my belly piercing scars might start to cause me discomfort as I get bigger.
