my father in the delivery room... thoughts?

My dad has raised me since I was 4. So it's always been him and me. He's held my hand through everything... from shots to walking me down the aisle. Is it weird to have him in the delivery room? (Above waist, of course)

If you want him there I say go for it! My daughter was a csection otherwise both my parents would have been in the room. It's your moment mama, do what makes you comfortable.

Not at all when I delivered my 1st both my brothers were in the room they pretty much raised me no dad around so it was always just us 3. My mom always worked two or more jobs. Its a wonderful feeling for them as well as yourself in letting him know how much you care!!

My dad was with me for my first, by my head of course. I'm not as close to him as you are with your dad but it felt good to have his support on that day. And he got to be one of the first to meet his granddaughter so that was really special.

My sister had my dad in the delivery room. Wasn't weird at all. Nobody is thinking about anything but the baby being born and he was sitting by her head the entire time.
