How to get my baby used to other people?

My son is almost 7 months old and doesnt like being held by anyone but me. Even dad can only hold him for max 10 minutes. I will eventually have to put him in daycare  ( or gave dad watch him while i work) and will want to go out for drinks or wtv eventually.  . . What did you do in this situation?  Or would you

My dd is 2 and it's only been in the last couple of months that I could leave her with a sitter. She was very attached and would get upset with anyone besides dh and I. I didn't push it because there was no need to. Some babies have a harder time adjusting to other care. And some have no issues what so ever.

What have you tried? Do you just dump the baby in someone else's arms? If the baby has separation anxiety that won't work. I used to care for a newborn with separation anxiety like that. I started with him at such a young age that he grew very attached to me and did not want to be touched by others. I started taking him to mommy & me type classes and it's also good to just hold the baby with the stranger nearby so the baby can get accustomed to looking at the face. Eventually they will begin to recognize the face in front of them to the point they will let that other person hold them. So have you're dad come over a lot but don't force the baby on him. Your baby looks to you for safety and you need to reassure the baby by holding it
