I went into preterm labor with my first at 27 weeks and delivered at 36. They don't know why. 

I'm 17 weeks with my second and they've got me on bedrest and biweekly ultrasounds to check my cervix. They want me starting Makena shots but after reading the amount of stillbirths/miscarriages women have had after getting the shots during the clinical study and also ready under the prescription info the FDA/drs don't even know how the medication actually reduces the risk of reoccurring preterm labor I think I've decided I don't want to take a chance and have those barely researched shots. 

I don't know if I'm making the right choice. I'm losing my mind over it. But I couldn't live with myself if I got these shots and my son died. I feel like being watched so closely and being on bedrest already things will be better this time around. Why risk getting these new shots? 

So anyone have a normal pregnancy after delivering early?
