Braxton hicks/back labor/real deal?

I am 36 weeks FTM I had my doctors appointment Wednesday and the midwife checked me my cervix was still closed but he was head down and pretty low but since Thursday I've been having mild cramping in my stomach but severe back pain especially at night to the point where I can't sleep or if I do fall asleep it wakes me up hurting. I haven't lost my mucus plug that I know of and I haven't had any bloody show or leakage. Could this be back labor/Braxton hicks/ or the real deal? Any advice on how to make it feel better? He's measuring 1-2weeks ahead for everyone that's wondering.
