Normal to gain a lot of weight all over during pregnancy?

I gained just as much elsewhere on my body as I did in my midsection, including my face. I looked inflated by the end of my pregnancy.

I started out very skinny, flat tummy. At first I bloated like crazy and then the belly came in. I was all belly for a long time until all of a sudden at about 25-30 Weeks I started gaining everywhere else. My bra size went from a 32/34 to now a 36 with extenders. My shoulders and arms got some weight gain and also seem to have broadened. My thighs are much thicker and my waist line omg. My pre pregnancy jeans don’t make it past my knees and none of my t shirts fit around my shoulders and arms. I can’t freaking wait to have my body back 😭

I gained 48 pounds with my first, and it was definitely all over. So far this pregnancy I'm almost 18 weeks and have only gained 5 pounds, and I have only gained in my boobs and belly. In fact, because I have been working out and lifting weights this pregnancy, I think my arms and legs are a tad bit smaller.

Define "a lot." Average is 20-30lbs, but it's different for everyone. If you think your weight gain is abnormal ask your doctor.

I used to say yes it's normal to gain everywhere, but now honestly I don't know! I gained 55-60 with my first two kids and definitely gained in all different parts of my body. I was also super bloated and swollen and puffy by the end. 
This pregnancy I ended up with mild gestational diabetes and I've drastically changed my diet- I'm only up 18 lbs at 38 weeks (135 ish not pregnant) and it's literally just belly. My arms and sides and legs have actually gotten smaller. So, at least for me, I think I gained all over my body the other times, probably because I wasn't eating as well as I should have!

I gained all over with both my girls...with my boy I only gained 18 pounds and it was only in stomach.

The answer is different for every woman. I lost 4lbs by the end of my pregnancy. I didn't gain a pound. So for me, gaining a ton would be weird.
