Should healthcare be free for children?

I know I'm America you have to pay for your healthcare. I also know it's not changing anytime soon it seems 😂

But do you think at the very least CHILDREN (under 18, including those in the womb) should get healthcare that they need?

I think yes because a mom shouldn't be stuck deciding if the rest of the kids get to eat or her kid gets a surgery he or she needs. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don't think healthcare for ANYONE should be seen as a luxury. I think everyone deserves it.

Access to proper health care is NOT a privilege. It is a right. Everyone deserves it so yes, children should be covered at the very least. I'm so tired of seeing videos of moms crying because they can't provide health care for their child with a terminal or life threatening illness. I'm so tired of seeing mothers scared out of their wits because their child is deathly allergic to something and they can't afford that $300 epipen. I am so sick of parents being arrested for doing what they can to treat their child's ailments with CBD or another form of marijuana. Its absolutely ridiculous and makes me think our government wants us sick, weak, and scared.

Yep, I don't understand how certain people support the idea of healthcare being a privilege and having to pay for it. Furthermore, so many parents work long hours to provide for their children and simply cannot afford healthcare, which is absolutely not fair on them or their child. Every child should have healthcare worldwide (not realistic I know but we should work towards it)

No health care is free. I think EVERYONE should have universal health care. I'm studying at a children's hospital and it makes me upset knowing that in America that parents would have to pay out of pocket but I think it would be very hard to just do people 18- because how would you go about that? Only children's hospitals are run on taxs or taxes individually fund each child through a social security card? We sent a little boy (3) last week to a hospital in Toronto that was not a children's hospital that had a specialist in his heart condition. So the children's hospital thing is out of the question.

Dependent on income there is free or low cost healthcare for children already. (Medicaid or CHIP)

Of course in a perfect world health care shouldn't be a burden or question to anyone. Logistically I don't see how free health care for children would ever work, but it is definitely something I would morally support. I want every child to have equal opportunity to become whatever their heart desires. I think having access to health care would help families tremendously.

It is in NY. If mom and dad make less then a certain amount and don't have health insurance themselves the child will qualify.

Healthcare is a right not a privledge. America needs to get their head out of their ass and join the rest of the industrialized world, gurentee healthcare for all of its citizens. Not only will this save money in the long run, but it's the humane thing to do as a society.
