Okay, so my mom pulled a magazine when we were at the grocery store yesterday. On the cover, it had a picture of Michelle Carter and said she was found guilty. I later read that she may face up to 20 years. My mom said "I am not saying what she did was right, but it is bullshit for them to give her time when HE was the one who followed through with the suicide. He wasn't a minor." on the other hand, I feel like she deserves the time. Even though he committed suicide, she had the opportunity to get him help/be supportive. The way she did what she did makes me feel like she is heartless. No decent human would convince a loved one (or any person in general...) to commit suicide. He was a mentally ill person and was not in a normal state of mind and she took advantage of that. Do you think her sentencing is fair?
