I have a 3 week old.. 4 months on Tuesday. Just wondering how often & how much should he be eating?

2.5oz per pound is the medical standard right now...my son is almost 9lbs...9x2.5= 22.5...he would be eating 22.5oz per day...he eats between 20-24oz so he is on target...if you bf you can have weighted feeds done to see how much yours eats per feeding or pump and see

I only know for bottle feeding, but once they hit the four week mark they're meant to be having 5 oz and 5 bottles a day! :) until 8 weeks then it goes up to 6 oz 5 times a day :)
