Is it possible to c-section a breech baby after his due date?

So I'm 32 weeks.. saw my doc yesterday, he seemed pretty sure that the baby would not flip by his due date.. and mentioned a c-section at 39 weeks. I really want him to stay in till his due date if not a few days past. Would the hospital schedule a c-section past or on his due date? 
**he's also measuring in the 30 percentile.. So he will be pretty small at birth either way if that makes any difference

He still has plenty of time to flip...but yes, you can suggest waiting to schedule it until after your due date.

There's still time. Have you tried everything there is to flip the baby? It's your body, and your baby so you can choose the birthday. They tend to schedule it at that time so the child is hopefully full term (technically could be off since due dates are an estimate) and so there's less of a chance for you to go into labor.

Im sure its possible but the reason that they schedule it for 39w is that they want the baby to be full turm but they also want to do it before you have a chance of going into labor on your own in which case it might turn into an emergency c section. 
I have read on here that some women go into labor with a breech baby and he/she flips before its time to push but i dont know how often this happens.

It can be dangerous to go into labour with a breech so they will usually recommend doi g it at 39 weeks. That seems to be the magic number and if you read the studies, is actually the optimal time to get them out. Having a babe stay in to 40-42 weeks does not always mean that they come out healthier..  there can be risks involved in post term babies too. Have a good open conversation with your Dr about your main concerns and such.
