Depo, Pill, or IUD?

I want to get on birth control and want the depo shot but i'm TERRIFIED of needles 😖😓 but i feel like it's the best option to go with because of how effective it is. so im wondering if i should suck up my fear of needles or go with another method ?

Depo is effective but can really mess with your body. I bled almost continuously until my 3rd or 4th shot. After that I didn't get my period at all besides slight spotting right before my next shot occasionally.

I think the iud is the best option, you can get nonhormonal or hormonal. It'll eventually stop your period, and can be taken out at anytime. I love mine

When I had depo, I was miserable. For a while I had pretty bad anxiety and depression, and the hormones from the depo shot just put both of those through the roof!! My doctor had to double my anxiety medication, because of it. I generally enjoyed being on the pill though. I had a lighter period, and it stayed rather constant. Everyone is different, talk to your doctor about the pros and cons of the different forms of bc before you choose. Good Luck 💕

Paragard IUD is the way to go! No hormones, last for 10 years, don't have to remember a pill, insertion was a breeze no pain except for a little pressure for 1-2 seconds but it was still hardly anything
