8 week ultrasound!!!!!

So yesterday I went for my very first ultrasound! My midwife (I'm in the uk) said that first ultrasounds aren't performed until 12 weeks but I've been so nervous (for no reason really- no bleeding, no cramping-  just nervous) that I book a private scan. So off my and hubby went and my goodness I'm glad I did- the sonographer put my at ease and explained absolutely everything as it happened and we got to see our little jelly bean- all well and healthy!
