I need some help with my nexplanon.

Okay... so when I feel for mine I can feel the end of it okay. But when I go down toward the hole where it was inserted the muscle around it seems like thicker than from the end of it. When I touch it the end sticks up a little. But is it in correctly ?? I had sex yesterday and the condom broke when he came so I am so scared because someone said If it's not in right it doesn't work.....
