birth control making me very emotional and sad

My doctor prescribed me the PILL due to my excessive body and facial acne and hair growth. This is my first month taking it and I have never been so depressed, sad, emotional, anxious and sensitive in my whole life. I am an extremely positive person and very chill I play video games and hang out a lot got a bf and friends and amazing family. But the past 4 weeks feels like someone I love had died ... it gets me at night I just collapse and cry for no reason or over very stupid silly things.
