Why are vulvas offensive here

Question

So women are told their vulvas are all awesome and beautiful here, then as soon as one posts a picture with a question, the shocked TMI or "I don't wanna see your vagina" ewwww comments pour.

I don't get it.

I won't be posting mine, but none of yours offend me in the least. If as women we cannot look at a vulva and not cringe, what can we expect from others.

I don't care if someone posts a picture of their vulva, but I do think using a TMI filter is just common courtesy. I don't want to see pictures on my feed- sometimes I just don't want to see it. If there's a filter then it's ok if I chose to click and look. But having it visible to everyone isn't fair. Though you shouldn't be ashamed of having a vagina and others won't shame you for having one- that doesn't mean people want to see someone else's vagina.

Just because we think that all women should be confident about their vulva doesn't mean that we necessarily want to see it. Same with other's period blood and discharge. That's why we have the tmi button

I don't think it's a case of it being offensive. It's just being appropriate. I talk to my friends about sex and whatever else goes on with my vag but that doesn't mean I am gonna send them pics or pull my pants down to show it to them! It's inappropriate and if you have a rash you are unsure about you should be calling a doctor not posting pics on social media of it. Just saying. Telling women their body is beautiful is to help them be more comfortable in their own skin it doesn't mean show me what your working with....

Just a quick thing about tmi pictures: some women do not want to see genitalia and things without their consent. If women could post their vulva but mark it as tmi, it weeds out those who don't want to see it (and may respond rudely)

I still don't get it.
If we say "be comfortable with your body" but then respond with "I don't want to see your fat flabby body" on my feed it will be offensive.
And sertainly won't contribute to the feeling of comfort or confidence.

It's normally they don't put a tmi filter up first. Like if you wanna show off go for it just use a tmi filter because not everyone wants to see it.
