IUI first timer fail ?

First time doing IUI and yup I knew today I felt AF coming and she did 😞😞 I was so hopeful now have to figure out how to make the second one work out we already spent $450 on this, I was so emotional this week as I kept testing at home and got negative. Any one try the first time and wasn't a success ? Any advice anything to maybe consider ? I'm on no meds but hubby is on clomid and his motility is low thought IUI would finally be the moment it will magically happen and been praying so much 😢😢😢
